Hi, I’m Ken Heinbecker.

In addition to photography, I like making things with my hands, JiuJitsu and books about cowboys. I have a happy house with three sons, a rescued chihuahua and my lovely (and enterprising) wife.

My Approach

A few years ago I took a picture of about 50 people at a family reunion in Cape Breton. There were toddlers and grandparents and fisherman and businessmen and homemakers and just about everything in between. The photo wasn’t particularly strong from an artistic or National Geographic point of view but it took about 3 minutes to create, was in focus, well exposed and everyone was smiling at the camera. It occurred to me afterwards that that was perhaps the most valuable photo I have ever taken because it is currently displayed on fridges across the continent and will live on in this family’s history.

Good Energy

I like people. I like my work. I bring good energy to this craft.

Be Useful

Let’s make the pictures that are valuable to you.
